I lost a dear friend last week.
Lou Holtz passed away, and I'm still processing it.
Most of you know Lou as one of the greatest football coaches who ever lived. And he was. But what you may not know is that Lou was also one of the most extraordinary human beings I've ever had the privilege of calling a friend.
He believed in people. Deeply. Genuinely. Fully.
Lou used to say that life is 10% what happens to you and 90% what you do about it. He didn't just teach that — he lived it. Every single day.
I've been around a lot of successful people in my life. But Lou had something special. He had the ability to walk into a room and make every single person feel like they were capable of more than they ever imagined.
That's a rare gift.
I'm sharing this video today because I want you to hear from him directly. His words on leadership, attitude, and what it means to push through when things get hard are as relevant right now as they've ever been.
The world lost a legend. But his message doesn't have to go with him.
Rest easy, Coach. Thank you for everything.
