On July 18, 2019, Kyoto Animation (known to its fans as KyoAni) fell victim to arson. 34 people have been killed with another 36 with severe injuries. KyoAni is well known among the animation world for providing its workers with a fair salary, decent work hours, and helping build up the career of many young up-and-coming animators, many of which are women in an often male dominated field.
The tragedy that struck KyoAni cannot be understated. This isn't only a crushing loss for the anime industry but for Japan and the world.
KyoAni and their productions are very important to me and many hold a very special place in my heart. I wanted to make a small token of my appreciation: a montage of various series and films they've produced set to music from my favorite anime of all time, "K-On!"
I pray that KyoAni will recover from this crushing blow in due time. In the meantime, please consider donating.
