My music journey:
I wanted to do music for my entire life and had too much anxiety, & kept it secret until 2013. I wanted to be in a band, and just couldn’t find one. I had issues in school, never had good teachers, and dropped out. never did music classes but went to lots of shows instead of going to class ever! 😀
Ended up going to normal college and liking it. I couldn’t imagine singing in front of people, so I practiced singing/making harmonies in my car alone for years, making secret songs, and writing lyrics to video game music on my drives to college. I ended up moving away to a super stressful city for school. I ended up hating my living situation. I couldn’t really leave my apartment, and hit a point where I was like OK NOW IS THE TIME to actually do what i want to do and just record music!
I finally got the most basic recording stuff to start posting videos. I posted them without telling anyone I knew for months. The first person i told was my brother and he encouraged me so much. And then my parents too!
I gradually learned how to produce music by making these. Doing this helped me follow through with my real goals, and brought me to people that I really connect with.
Donut and Josiah were my first online music friends since 2013, and it’s so awesome to be in a band with them now. The original dream was to write my own music and be in a band. youtube and vgm led to twitch and now the combo of online plus IRL music.
Very grateful to be able to do it and to have met my best friends through this! Thank you.
extra huge shoutout to those who continue to support my original music. this is what i love doing, what i originally wanted to do - create music and melodies inspired by my love of game music.
those who miss my old style videos - they still exist here and always will! i play this entire backlog on twitch every day with these backing tracks, and continue creating original lyrics and productions of VGM that i play there, and still post here. those who support my music journey and passion to this day and are here for it all, y'all are truly the mvps. thank you so much.
