Waking up in chilly Chiang Dao, we hit the road on "Lucille" for an epic Northern Thailand motorbike adventure! Our first stop is Phrao—a charming, "forgotten" town that most travelers skip. After grabbing a 15-baht breakfast and exploring the local market, we brave the rugged mountain backroads to reach our final destination: Fang.
Often described as the "Wild West" of the North, Fang is a dusty, atmospheric town full of authentic character. I’m checking back into the Hotel, where 350 THB (about $10) gets you a private bungalow with breathtaking rice field views—truly the best value-for-money stay in the region.
From meeting incredibly friendly locals to navigating "movie set" mountain scenery, this is Thailand off the beaten track at its best.
