The ADVANCE Act and recent executive orders have made clear that the global deployment of U.S.-designed next generation technologies is key to the domestic and international interests of the United States. With the rising demand for nuclear energy worldwide, a whole-of-government approach is necessary to ensure adequate infrastructure is in place for countries to safely and successfully implement a nuclear energy program. In this session, the NRC, along with representatives from the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Trade and Development Agency, and National Nuclear Security Administration will discuss their targeted, complementary initiatives in this arena; how they coordinate their respective activities; and how they ultimately contribute to fostering safe and sustainable nuclear energy development around the globe.
