Hi everyone, I’m Wang Jigang.
Today we’re putting the Aegis through its wind resistance trials. To start with, we used a standard cup anemometer, which logged a steady wind speed of 22m/s—around 49mph. But when we switched to our more sensitive professional unit, it picked up peak gusts of 30m/s, or roughly 67mph. That’s already a properly vicious wind speed.
After the last two videos, I was genuinely chuffed by the number of thoughtful comments coming in. Your varied feedback has given me plenty of food for thought, and I’m working out how to put your ideas into practice. This is far from the finished article. Going forward, I’ll be refining the design specifically for European—and particularly British—conditions: speeding up the pitching process, tweaking smaller accessories, and boosting ventilation, all while keeping a tight rein on the weight.
I’d love for you to keep the comments coming. Every morning when I wake up, I spend quite a bit of time carefully reading and thinking through your replies. It’s clear to me that many of you are seriously seasoned outdoor enthusiasts, and seeing that growing recognition and engagement from this community really warms my heart.
