On July 25, 2019, the TF Team at Valve pushed out an update for Team Fortress 2 that was supposed to introduce the Summer 2019 Cosmetic Collection Case. However, they also unintentionally created an insane bug (titled "The Crate Depression") with older Mann Co. Supply Crates that guaranteed players an Unusual quality hat upon every unbox. How did this happen and what was their solution?
