Horace and the Spiders 1983
Our wobbly little blob Horace is on another mission.
There are three key stages for Horace. The mountain and avoid the eight-legged freaks. Trapeze across a ravine on spider silk while dodging giant red arachnids.
Then it’s cave time: dig trap-holes in the floor and watch the spiders plummet. Controls have an old spacing which might take a while to, the graphics are gloriously Horaced.
I played this one quite late in the day. around 87 I think. I remember poo pooing it at the time, but playing it again is a lot of fun. Pure Horace gold.

$TeZ-X Spectrum 1199 Rescue on Freactalus Rescue on Fractalus! 1986 Lucasfilm Games’ early effort originally developed for Atari 8-bit systems and released around 1985 arrived on the ZX Spectrum in 1986 published by Activision. It remains one of the more ambitious attempts to bring a first-person 3D flight rescue mission to the Speccy. Pilot your Valkyrie fighter over fractal mountains to rescue downed pilots while blasting alien defenses. The concept and cockpit atmosphere are impressive for the era, but on the Speccy the graphics are jerky and the action quickly becomes repetitive, and it never quite matches the smoother Atari original. A solid historical curiosity rather than an essential Spectrum classic. An open imagination will improve the game play.
