I still recall my tiny little mind being blown when I heard that digitised Ghostbusters speech, It was one of those important moments in gaming history.
This 1986 128k version adds very little else beyond an in-game AY title tune, which will drive you nuts after a short time. All original elements are here and it still has enough action and strategy management to keep you ghost hunters entertained. A must play for Speccy fans craving everything ecto-plasm.

$TeZ-X Spectrum 1199 Rescue on Freactalus Rescue on Fractalus! 1986 Lucasfilm Games’ early effort originally developed for Atari 8-bit systems and released around 1985 arrived on the ZX Spectrum in 1986 published by Activision. It remains one of the more ambitious attempts to bring a first-person 3D flight rescue mission to the Speccy. Pilot your Valkyrie fighter over fractal mountains to rescue downed pilots while blasting alien defenses. The concept and cockpit atmosphere are impressive for the era, but on the Speccy the graphics are jerky and the action quickly becomes repetitive, and it never quite matches the smoother Atari original. A solid historical curiosity rather than an essential Spectrum classic. An open imagination will improve the game play.
