A major change is coming to North Texas toll roads as Texas DPS ends its contract with NTTA today, August 31.

Dallas Police will take primary responsibility for traffic enforcement and crash response on NTTA roadways within Dallas city limits, including portions of the President George Bush Turnpike.

DPS says troopers will continue enforcement and crash investigations during the transition while NTTA works to secure coverage from other local law-enforcement agencies.
