This was one of Nanci Griffith’s first recordings. It was one of three songs of hers that were included on a sampler LP released under the B.F. Deal label in 1977. The intent of the record was to introduce aspiring artists to a larger audience. Obviously, it worked for Nanci and she’s still going strong today.
