After giving up a 16-point lead and fighting back to take a 3-point lead with under 2 minutes left in the game, it was Stanford linebacker Tevarua Tafiti who put the finishing touch on the Cardinal season opening victory. Zach Rowell stripped the Hawai'i quarterback, Tafiti scooped up the loose football, and ran it back 31-yards for the touchdown. The score put Stanford up by 10 with 1:12 left in the game and is the CPI Security: Securing The Win play of the game.
