BSS Holland | Tethered UAV - HoverLite @BSSHolland | Uploaded October 2015 | Updated October 2024, 8 hours ago.
Based on the HoverMast-100, this versatile, tethered, hovering observation and surveillance system has been adapted especially for the US market. It boasts the same advantages as the HM-100, including autonomous operation, phenomenal size-to-payload ratio, stabilized, lightweight airborne platform and compact housing unit.
The HoverLite's hovering platform is capable of incorporating a large variety of payloads such as CCD/IR cameras, radars, laser designators, relays, cellular antennas, and hyperspectral sensors and can receive COMINT and ELINT. The data gathered is transmitted via its wide band communication link, which enables the transfer of critical data to selected recipients in real time.
As the HoverLite is tethered (providing it with unlimited electric power and thus unlimited operation time), it is not considered an airborne vehicle. Therefore, standard air control regulations do not apply to its use.
