The #Geobrugg test site in Walenstadt is also used for so-called rockburst tests because high-tensile Minax steel wire mesh combined with shotcrete is applied in underground construction to protect tunnels. Permanent tests are necessary as each mine has different conditions in terms of morphology, hydrology and chemical properties.
