The DPS-375 Digital Timebase Corrector from Digital Processing Systems is one of the most saught after pieces of equipment by those who transfer U-matic format tapes. It is specially designed to get the very best from U-matic machines via the Dub connectors which perform a similar function to S-Video though using an incompatible signal type. Today we need to test the performance of one of these timebase correctors by connecting to a vectorscope, but first we need to transcode the analogue YUV outputs of the DPS375 to the SDI serial datastream in order to connect to the SDI-only vectorscope.
