Got a laptop over Christmas break and struggling to do literally anything on it because I broke the old one and haven't figured out how to transfer the 250+ GB of data yet. But uhh I got an assignment that requires me to record things so I might as well test out Audacity in this machine.
Laptop: Dell Inspiron 15
OS: Windows 11 :(
Program: Audacity 2.3.2
Screen recorded with the good ol' Windows+G and it still made the program smaller aaaaa why does it hate Audacity
I noticed that the delay between two consecutive recordings is less than a second here, compared to my old laptop, which was about two seconds. Still, for some reason this thing gets picky with mic input. I have to start talking in order to get it working in the first place, hence the babbling in the beginning, and then it'll be really sensitive then taper off after a few seconds. Taking the time to balance my recordings is certainly going to be annoying because of this quirk, but eh, it's good enough for casual voice recording ig.
Song I did is an excerpt of "The Saints II" by Dirt Poor Robins, except I made a B Major instead of B minor, which is cool and all but now it's got the same progression as "Creep" by Radiohead, and idk how to feel about that.
