Just trying out Dead or Alive's "Triangle System" and see if it works on Tekken.
If you don't know what the Triangle System is, then here it is:
Strikes beat throws
Throws beat holds/reversals
Holds beat strikes
It seems to work, unsurprisingly.
It's like a rock-paper-scissor thing. I think Virtua Fighter's Triangle System works a bit differently because it has a lesser amount of holds compared to Dead or Alive, but I believe it still sticks to the same rule.
Footnotes: Command throws in Dead or Alive are inescapable, only the generic throws can be escaped, but the escape window is very short and throws in Dead or Alive are 5 frames fast and some characters have throws that are 4 frames. That's 3 times faster than Tekken's normal throws and 2.5 times faster than the fastest throws in Tekken.
Throw vs Throw doesn't work the same way in Dead or Alive because throws are generally inescapable in that game, so the system randomly chooses who gets to throw and who gets beaten when both throws interact on the same frame.

I know I quit Tekken like a month ago because I'm bored of Tekken 7, so I quit from the franchise entirely, but I just wanna satisfy my curiosities. Dead or Alive is my fighting game right now and I'm having a lot of fun with it. Besides, it's a legacy game on the Xbox platform, and I'm an Xbox player.
