Here's a quick follow up to my last video about intercalated graphite and it's use in intumescent, fire resistant products (seen here: youtu.be/8Z5RPPRS-KQ). This pipe collar uses strips of compressed expandable graphite flake with a flexible binder to wrap around pipes and seal them off in case of fire. Pretty neat.
