Meet Kevin, one of the first Metro train drivers to run test trains using our next generation High-Capacity Signalling system.
His run from Hawksburn to Footscray marks the Metro Tunnel’s permanent connection with the surface train network, and Kevin has the best seat in the house.
About the Metro Tunnel Project
The Metro Tunnel will create a new end-to-end rail line from Sunbury in the west to Cranbourne/Pakenham in the south east, with bigger and more modern trains, and 5 new stations. With testing now underway, the Metro Tunnel will open in 2025.
