Are flexible weapons LESS or MORE powerful than rigid ones? Or are they the same? I was tired of all the speculation and decided to find out with an improvised science experiement.
Two handles, identical in length and weight, to receive the same striking tip (a mace head), set up to mechanically deliver consistent strikes with the same amount of force each time. Two different ways to gauge how hard they hit.
This applies not only to war flails and maces but also many similar designs (medieval or not), including nunchucks vs. a simple stick.
