With our newest commercial engine products, GE Aerospace is innovating to improve hardware durability and time on wing for customers. By developing a proprietary dust mixture to simulate harsh operating conditions, we enhanced our ability to test hardware updates for GEnx and CFM LEAP engines based on real-world field experience. For the first time with the GE9X engine, dust tests were conducted before entry-into-service. Now, these lessons are being incorporated earlier than ever as the CFM RISE program advances new technologies for the future of flight.
