Terry Thompson and his wife, Deputy Chauna Thompson, are both charged with murder in John Hernandez's May 28, 2017 death outside a Denny's restaurant in Sheldon, Houston.
Authorities allege Terry Thompson confronted an intoxicated Hernandez after seeing him urinate in public. Chauna Thompson, who was off-duty, arrived later to help her husband subdue and restrain Hernandez.
Chauna Thompson hasn't been to trial yet.
