Terence Edwards and George Craig have been described as “Britain’s most fashionable foodies” (The Times). Their pop-up restaurant company Check On (www.checkonpresents.co.uk) has created spectacular sell-out events across the country.
Terry trained under the Michelin-starred chef Paul Heathcote in his hometown of Liverpool before moving to London to work at Le Gavroche with Michel Roux Jnr later with Mark Hix.
George started a band ‘One Night Only’ with a schoolfriend at the age of twelve. They made the top ten – and are still going strong today - while George developed a sideline in modelling after he was scouted by Burberry’s Christopher Bailey.
Terry introduced George to the foodie scene in London and they started to cook at home together. They soon realised they could combine their skills to put on ambitiously creative themed nights mixing amazing food with great music. Inspired by British ingredients and culture, they have cooked sell-out nights in venues across London, Manchester, New York and Hollywood. Their menus include “Northern Invasion” where they serve their version of the Lancashire Hotpot, Toad-in-the-Hole, and Bakewell Tart and “Hen Party” which features Spineless Chicken and Truffled Chips followed by a pudding of Eggs and Soldiers (eggshells filled with crème brulee, mango jelly and accompanied by shortbread soldiers for dipping).
