What a terrible year it has been. September 2020. While many are out and about again, others continue to quarantine from Covid-19 - whether as returning travellers from overseas, close contacts, localised lockdowns or to protect their own immunity.
People are remarkably resilient and positive in these trying circumstances, but we can all have our down days. When I saw the original Sia video of Chandelier, I thought that the dancing by Maddie Ziegler perfectly encapsulated the frustration and 'stir-craziness' that many of us have felt at times.
If this reflects how you feel today, just sing along at the top of your lungs, dance along madly and allow yourself to have a moment! (It does help!) And then, keep on keeping on - because we'll get through this, no matter how terrible.
My suggestion... open up Sia's video on another screen (youtube.com/watch?v=2vjPBrBU-TM,) put it on mute and watch it while you listen to this one. In my opinion, the dancing fits this theme PERFECTLY! Enjoy!
