In this work in progress update, I explain the research I did on types of ocean waves and what types of ocean bottoms form them. I give a (very) brief description of the differences between plunging, spilling and surging waves.
I then carry this knowledge onto the ocean boards themselves, describing how I modified the board profiles based on this new understanding, and how I plan to model the waves. I also show a proposed layout for the large island boards, as well as share how the layers of the boards will progress from the deeper water to the dry beach sand.
