I released a new Asset this week for Unity called "Road Textures for MicroVerse Roads". It's what the name says: Road Textures for MicroVerse Roads. I wanted to add terrain textures as a bonus as well. But then one thing led to the other and they became more and more. So I decided to create a dedicated asset of them and make it FREE for everyone. That free, i. e. free as in beer π You can use it in any way you like with whatever asset you like, ie MicroVerse, Gaia, etc.
If you like to support me for that, feel free to buy the asset that is the initiator for the creation of the Terrain Textures. Or just buy any other asset of mine.
Thank you very much! π
I extended my asset Genesis for MicroVerse to hot-swap the terrain textures in order to have that slideshow. In addition you can auto-create thumbnails for the content browser for the texture stamps. Has become such a time-saver while creating and exploring the created textures π

![Genesis Pro - Asset Gallery ... Unparalleled Workflow with Assets from the Unity Asset Store
New feature: Asset Gallery. I just couldnt wait for Unity to fix the lighting in their thumbnail preview in Unity 6. So I created my own Asset Gallery which was fairly easy to create. The additional benefit is that I could limit the visibility to prefabs and terrain layers, so you dont have to navigate through models, materials and the likes and instead just focus on what you actually need for your terrain. I dont think theres anything faster on Unity when it comes to using any asset and creating a scene with it. Its a bold statement, but feel free to prove me wrong π

![MicroVerse Quick Tip: Smoothing Terrain
I got asked how to smooth terrain when you use my height stamps in case the variation is too intense. My stamps are designed for a certain height, so eg 120 meters for a meadows environment just wont do. Meadows arent mountains. Of course it all depends also on your terrain resolution and other factors. However if you still want to use that stamp, or any other category stamp for the matter and get into a situation in which you want to smooth the terrain, the most performant answer is to use the mip map bias of the MicroVerse height stamp.
For that you need to:
* activate mip map on the heightmap, ie the texture
* adjust the mip map bias on the height stamp
By using mip maps the textures will get blurred implicitly by Unity means. This will also give you the additional benefit of performance in edit mode because the stamp doesnt have to be blurred during edit mode in every frame. Alternatively you can of course use any image editor and blur the stamp, but having the values change dynamically is a much higher benefit during realtime editing.
00:00 Pick a height stamp
00:08 Pick one with intense erosion
00:20 Click the texture to jump to it
00:24 Activate Generate Mipmaps
00:30 Adjust smoothness using Mip Bias
00:40 Add biome to show automatic vegetation adjustment
