I should have posted this a long time ago. Anyway, happy belated new year!
I've always loved these sounds from Terminator Salvation. At first, I thought it was weird having them..."growl." But, then I realized, they aren't growls at all. These are modified sounds of grinding metal. I heard in a video from the sound designer that he didn't want to use generic robot servo sound effects. Which I have to commend him for. And it make salvation a lot more enjoyable for me. They sound so creepy and cool at the same time. Such a unique mechanical sound. Kind of wish they continued to use it after this film.
In my opinion, this should have gotten a direct sequel. Fans were unfair to it at the time. But, if this came out today, it would be a hit. This is the only terminator film that does something different. Unlike everything that came after this. The only "sequel" to salvation we have is the comic series, "Terminator Salvation: final battle." Go check it out! I do not claim ownership of these sounds. I did this for fun.
