A great song that the Beatles never performed in concert. The Rickenbacker 360/12 and Gibson J-160E are both played through a Vox AD15VT set to AC30TB min bass, min mid and max treble w/ no effects. It is difficult to get the original sound without playing both guitars together. They really combine similar ringing tones to form one big guitar sound. The odd Em6 that Lennon hits for one strum during the bridge is probably an error but has become forever part of the song. The chords for the intro are Em7 and A7 (A for Harrison). The chords for the verse/refrain are D, Bm7, Em7 and A7. The bridge is D7, G7, A7, Bm, Em7, A7, D. The outro is Bm, Bflat, Bflat7, Em7 (Gadd9 Harrison) A7 (A6 Harrison) D. Some believe that there is no Bm during the verse. If you listen to the bass for the verse, McCartney plays D, B E and A while Lennon and Harrison played their guitars, which is evidence that they played Bm during the verses (and chorus). After the basic track was recorded, George Martin overdubbed a piano and played D, E and A during both the chorus and verse, which may confuse some listeners. Lennon and Harrison's guitars are very low in the mix, and Bm and D only differ by a B note , and playing a B bass note with a D on rhythm guitar creates a Bm7 chord, which explains why some may be confused. Out of curiosity, I checked how the Beatles tribute bands play it, and most of them use Bm in the verse and chorus. I stand by my chord choices and voicings, and am happy with the result, which to my ear is quite close to the studio recording.
My videos are really intended for accomplished guitarists who want to polish up their Beatles repertoire and can benefit from "seeing" how a song is played - I am not a guitar teacher and do not provide tabs.
