With people moving towards on-demand streaming TV services and away from broadcast TV, it begs the question of how long we will see antennas on the roof tops.
In this video I look at new and old TV antennas and see some that have been in place for over forty years and probably much longer.
In the UK, these TV antennas were sued for the old 405 line band 1 and band 3 television transmissions that occurred on frequencies around 50MHz and 200MHz respectively.
The band 1 frequencies and band 3 frequencies are given in the tables shown int he video.
While the old television services have been superseded by 625 line analogue and then digital TV, many antennas are still around.
Although many modern TV antennas are falling into disrepair, some should be around for many years to come.
