I explore the TeleTrainer built by Northern Electric for Bell Canada in 1965. This device was a 2 line phone simulator that came with two telephone sets and was used to train people, mainly school children, in the proper use of the Telephone in the 1960's, 70's and into the 1980's.
It was built to last and used the most advanced technology for the time period including the first ever transistor design, the famous 2N696's.
This device was particularly interesting to me as when I was 9 years of age I had the chance to use one of the same type of Teletrainer in my grade 4 classroom. It left me as a kid with an everlasting impression and today I will finally find out what's inside after all of these years!
