Tekken 4 gameplay featuring Law and King. I will no longer be uploading Tekken 7 arcade compilation videos, due to being issued with a copyright strike recently. I know copyright comes in various forms, and can be a very difficult tight-rope to walk in some cases. It appears namco have no problem in allowing arcade Tekken content to be accessed on YouTube, but, how some of the streamers that provide this content are able to claim ownership of such videos is quite alarming. Yes, they may have streamed/recorded the content originally, but do they truly have the authority to take down a gameplay compilation, compiled of different streams, or are they just abusing the flawed copyright system that YouTube operate under?
I'm aware that uploading Tekken 7 gameplay was risky (this has happened to other users), but should it have to be? I only do this out of love for the series, and gain nothing in terms of revenue whatsoever, and surely have no influence in terms of views & subscriber counts of already established channels. I simply took delight in showcasing high level matches for my subscribers to enjoy, as some of these matches are among 7+ hour videos that not everyone is going to get a chance to see.
