Tekken 2's Playstation port was released in 1996. Like the previous game it's a fantastic port, featuring unlockable characters, new game modes, two different soundtracks and more. All of the unlockable characters have FMV endings this time round, and the quality of the FMVs has been improved.
Unfortunately, one area that was sadly not improved on is the difficulty level, which has actually been made worse than in the first game. The CPU input reads like crazy and just does not want to get hit at all 99% of the time. And then you've got a final boss who can shoot lasers at you. Great. Which is where Lee comes in. For whatever reason, Lee's razor's edge kick combo works wonders against the CPU. They will usually not block it, or only block the first couple of hits before dropping their guard. And in the rare cases they do block it, you can just do the move again. It makes beating the game with Lee a piece of cake.
Alternatively, another strat that works with all characters is to try and do a move that sends the opponent flying away from you, and then when they get up, start up your character's unblockable attack. If you can get the timing right, the CPU will always run into it and take massive damage. With Lee this is easy to do, hit the opponent with the razor’s edge combo, then do his silver fang unblockable. You have to get the timing right. If you do it too early, the CPU will deliberately not get up (eg 4:06). If you do it too late, the CPU will jump over you (eg 4:27). Get it right and the round will be over within seconds.
