The number of times I've seen teenagers in the past but even more rarely now, stumble at how to break a thick branch in order to build a fire, if I got 10c for everyone that picks up a limp of wood looking dumbfounded as to how they will make it smaller for the fire, there would be the Porsche in my driveway LOL!
Those same teenagers really do believe milk comes from a supermarket (ok, they have no idea about: the process of getting milk), the difference between petrol and diesel vehicles, definitely can't tie shoe laces (or any knots for that matter) and fully responsible for why I (and family) can go out into the wilds and not see any of them (which is great for me- so thanks) because they are all in "the mall". Not even shopping believe it or not!
Any teenager thinking about lighting a fire, other than for a cigarette (I don't recommended them at all) should pay attention here, if only not to embarrass yourself when out with others who already know this stuff.
