The song felt complete after the third chorus and the stuff after just felt like a weaker ending. Better to go out with a bang than a whimper. I also tried adding another verse after that section but the resulting song was way too long at around 6:30, not to mention the lyrics felt a bit out of place being repeated given they talk about being first and second.
