We worship the Founding Fathers in the same way we do modern Celebrities, Politicians, and CEO's of Corporations, but should we be doing that and is that what makes America great?

No it is the diversity of "WE THE PEOPLE" that is great, and only by embracing that can we honestly pursue greatness.
