Ted is Hierophant.

Working within an existing system (Athletics) he moves into a leadership position.
Working within the parameters of the rules and traditions of a football club, he illuminates and demonstrates a better way.
He literally writes down on a piece of paper what he values, tapes it to the wall in the locker room, and points to it. He raises his hand and states for the world to see, I believe in this.
Press Conferences, he is in the Hierophant position, communicating with the press, sharing and including. Giving them the keys to the story.
Same when speaking to the team. Even on the sidelines, he has two people, Beard and Nate supporting him and helping him translate his beliefs and systems into action.
The Hierophant & acolytes physical positioning is flipped when, in ep, Season one, ep 9, All Apologies, Beard and Nate sit Ted down, reversing the power structure.
Rebecca is an Emperor. She begins reversed. Powerful but initially misguided, look at how her Hierophant of Ted and others guide her to right herself.
Keeley begins as a reversed Empress. A bit stuck in youthful behavior, giving to those who don’t value what she has to offer.
Her interactions with Rebecca, and her emotional courage to open up to Rebecca, cracks Rebecca open to more positive behavior.
Rebecca gives Keeley direction, context for her ambition, and nudges her to grow up and claim her power.
Note how their costuming evolves. Keeley begins with a slight chaotic and youthful style but then she begins mimicking Rebecca’s style but with her own flair. Rebecca’s style starts buttoned up and moves to a much softer palate and drape.
Note how in the restaurant scene with Keeley and Sassy, Rebecca is accepting support from two friends, with the triangle at the table mirroring the Hierophant positioning.
Roy is the Magician. With mastery of multiple aspects of his world, football player, pundit, coach, uncle, eventual boyfriend, his skills and tools of ball, mic, whistle (although he doesn’t blow it), champagne with Keeley. He keeps working to move ahead, grow, communicate, without compromising who he is.
Beard is the Hermit. Man of few words, intellectual, loyal, thoughtful, he shines the light to illuminate the path, especially for Ted when Ted gets lost
Leslie Higgins: He’s the Lovers! Initially caught between the two warring lovers of Rupert and Rebecca, inspired by Ted and the changes Ted brings, he rights his ship, confronting Rebecca and standing up for health and love. His home life is grounded by a fulfilling marriage and family. He is even named after his mother, balancing feminine with masculine
Sam: The Fool. Courageously stepping forward, willingness to put himself out there. Open to life. Has all he needs. Family. Sense of self. Mastery of his sport and a desire to grow.
Rupert: Emperor reversed. A dictator. Humorless.
Nate: Best character arc! The Devil. He is chained to his demons. He’s desperate for love and acceptance but cannot untether himself from his inner demons
