A review and audio test of the TechZone Stellar X2 large capsule condenser microphone. The 2021 version is a little different from the first reviews back in 2019, but ultimately, this mic is trying to achieve much more than the price would suggest.

The whole video is recorded on the Stellar X2 with no EQ, filtering or compression. Everything you hear is directly from the mic into the pre-amps on my Sony Z90 camera.
You need to take a listen to this mic! It's clean, well-rounded and smooth. It's a shame about the accessories that come with it, which, except for the protective briefcase-style box, are very disappointing for a mic of this price.
There is no doubt though that, even though the Stellar X2 costs £280 (UK) or $200 (US), it compares with a mic three times the price and is an absolute bargain for anyone looking to do any podcasting, voice-over work at home or even just for a YouTube or Twitch users really looking to up their audio game on a budget.
Thanks for watching, and if you have any questions, please put them in the comments, and I'll always answer if I can.
