Technics, a name synonymous with high-fidelity sound, has been around for over 50 years. Founded in 1965 by Matsushita Electric (now Panasonic), Technics started as a high-end audio brand.

What truly set them apart was their innovative direct-drive turntables. Ditching the belts commonly used at the time, Technics' design used a motor to directly drive the platter, now a staple in the DJ world.
