Robert Fredrick is an IoT and cloud services expert who has dedicated his professional career to making devices communicate with each other. He started his journey as a "Maker," augmenting Heathkit kits with parts from RadioShack and Jameco. After graduating from MIT, he worked for a device-to-device communication startup that later became the basis for DeviceTalk.com. Amazon acquired the company, and Robert moved to Seattle to lead the Amazon Anywhere initiative and device strategy, where he managed every m-commerce release in the US, Europe, and Asia. He worked on the Subscription Management Service (Rentals, Prime) before leaving Amazon in 2006 to build an IoT platform called Sirqul's EaaS.
