Jesus knew sadness and fear, and overcame them in obedience to God. He is one of us, not the "God-man" of trinitarian tradition. We unitarian Christians follow Jesus, because God resurrected him, and exalted him to God's right hand. We confess him to be our Lord, and believe that every knee should bow to him. We just don't believe that Jesus is God himself, or that God is a trio of persons.
