Ive never been quite so perplexed as to how to go about re-creating a song as I was with this one. I wanted to stay true to the original, which was fairly ground-breaking in its time, yet I needed it to ride the line of hard rock as well. The result was a whole lot of vocal tracks, guitars, piano, and a harp, among others.
Id like to thank Mr. David Reynolds from a YouTube comment (on my Blue Monday cover) who challenged me to tackle this song. I dont know who David is, but it was a *great* suggestion. Thank you!

So, my friend and client Jacob Amundsen wanted to come to the studio to record his song. He called it Battle of the Bells, and he explained it as being a mashup of Carol of the Bells and Good King Wenceslas
So, he brought over his friend, Jared and they proceeded to record this epic masterpiece before me. It required two pianists (as well as two pianos) to perform, and when it was done, I was blown away.
During the recording session, I asked Jacob straight up, Would you mind if I rocked up this song and used it as one of my weekly covers? He seemed to love the idea, so I went to work.
Two days later, I sent him the final version of his Battle of the Bells flush with electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, taiko drums, and a choir. Much to my glad heart, he *loved* it! We then had to wait until he could produce a video for the song, and I received that video yesterday, and Ive gotta say, Wow! It was awesome.
