lapogne36 | TearRing Saga Minimum Recruitment LTC - Chapters 12 & 13 @lapogne36 | Uploaded 8 months ago | Updated 1 minute ago
Chapter 11 was skipped as usual.
I got 3 new units. Holmes is surprisingly decent for a bow user, in part due to the fact that some bow weapons are very useful. He will see some solo actions later on, so he must be trained to some extent.
Shigen is yet another sword user. His base stats are good but at this point he is usually outperformed by the earlier Vega, or in my case Julia. His personal weapon allows him to revive upon taking fatal damage, which for an LTC isn't very useful apart from one specific chapter. His biggest flaw for this run is that he is locked in Holmes route, while Runan will be the one needing foot soldiers later on.
Speaking of sword users, the last recruit is Attrom. He has almost exactly the same stats than Xeno from chapter 8, and I won't have any reason to train him since he will not have to recruit anyone.
Chapter 12 is a seize map with Holmes starting 13 tiles away from the throne and moving 6 tiles per turn, so I can be lax and focus on training.
Chapter 13 is a defeat the boss map with a few items to drop on the way. When crossing the bridge, a cutscene triggers and Krishna is automatically recruited. Once again a sword user, but this time she is arguably one of the worst Fire Emblem unit ever, with awful base stats, growths, and the unreliable Steal skill. At least she has a Main Gauche, which is a very uncommon weapon that grants +20 Avo.
My main aim for this chapter was for Krishna to not waste any of her Miracle Charms, as these cost 5000 gold each to purchase. In retrospect, I should probably have use the Save Staff before the enemy phase to ensure that Krishna stole the Iron Blade, as it would have made the chapter 16 stats requirements easier to get.
