Carrie Sundra will talk about the development of a small handheld product, and how over the past year it’s gone from being powered by a disposable coin cell, then small LiPo, then rechargeable LiR coin cell. She’ll also talk about a failed attempt to list a product with a coin cell on amazon, and share a framework for making sense of the new regulations that went into effect in 2024. And if that wasn’t enough, she’s also considering putting a lithium-ion cell into yet another product and will share what she’s learning about shipping regulations and what may be needed for international sales. Carrie Sundra is the founder of Alpenglow Industries. Carrie grew up on the island of St. John in the US Virgin Islands, then attended Harvey Mudd College where she proudly scored a 19 on her first electrical engineering exam.
