There are a couple of tracks that get re-used between the Sonic karting games - so let's do a two way split-screen comparison between one of the returning tracks in Team Sonic from Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Ocean View, and see how this particular stage has evolved across the 2 games over 2 different console generations (with one obvious difference being that Team Sonic loses the water based section on the 3rd lap that Transformed has).
Transformed is actually a 7th generation console title, but I'm using the PC game here, which had the benefit over it's console brethren of running at 60fps (instead of 30) and could run in higher resolutions. Team Sonic Racing was an 8th generation console game and is running on my PS4, unlike its older console brothers, Team Sonic is running at 60fps.
