So after the attempted stream, I went back to the good ol' ways and recorded a full session of Team Fortress 2 to see how the servers are actually doing these days.

1) First download the .vpk -file here:
mediafire.com/file/lqp1xj5swroa9s4/Super+Mario+hit-+and+killsound.vpk/file
2) Copy-paste / move the .vpk -file to YourDirectoryLetterHere/Steam/steamapps/common/Team Fortress 2/tf/custom
3) Launch TF2
4) Enable hit- and killsounds in the Advanced Settings
5) "Enjoy."
