The religious leaders of Jesus's day were appalled that He associated with sinners, but the Savior took a different approach: He sought to heal those who were spiritually sick. • Follow the Savior's Example: Reach out to those with "troubled pasts" or who are different, just as Jesus did with the Roman soldier and the woman accused of adultery.
** Communicate Value:** Help students who are struggling or "don't seem interested" understand that they are "not only welcome but needed".
• Create Belonging: Inspire your students to help you create an environment where doctrine is taught in a spirit of "respect, belonging, and love".
• Teach Equality: Help learners understand the truth Peter learned: that "God is no respecter of persons".
