Teacher Interview Tips | How to Prepare for Your Teacher Interview
Do you have an interview for a teaching job coming up? In this video, I share my best tips for getting a teaching job and strategies to help you succeed during your interview! Best of luck!
Sample Interview Questions for Teacher Interviews (in no particular order):
1. Describe your background, education, and past experiences in the field of education.
2. What is your teaching philosophy?
3. What steps would you take with a student who is being disruptive in your classroom?
4. Why do you want to be a teacher (or teach here)?
5. What would we see if we walked into your classroom?
6. What skills or talents do you bring to the classroom?
7. How do you differentiate instruction?
8. What extracurricular activities can you lead?
9. Describe a time when a lesson did not go as planned, and what did you do about it?
10. How do you incorporate the current standards in your lessons?
11. How do you communicate with parents?
12. What were the strengths and weaknesses from your last evaluation? (I'm not sure how common this one is, but it blindsided me at one of my interviews!)
13. What is your approach to classroom management?
14. What questions do you have for us?
