Since its inception within the midst of the third season, the Fire Pro Division holds a different aura to that of its golden predecessors in TCW*. Almost harkening back to the Terrordome of days past. Its prize has been held by former World Champions such as Hijo Del Reyes and Calavera, brought out the vicious side of its champions in Zane Ulmeyda and Clyde Silva, and gave veterans like The Dark Star and TAKA Michinoku one last hurrah.
Currently, the Fire Pro Champions remains El Orgullo’s Hijo Jaguar III. This second reign began off the heels of a tragedy when its former host in Zane Ulmeyda suffered severe injury in a Landmine Deathmatch and was forced to vacate the title. Following an eight-man battle royal in the Season Six Premiere known as Homecoming, the third jaguar son has held the prize for several years, scoring defenses in house shows, and most recently, through outside interference on an episode of Exclamation against Kenshin-Gun’s Satoshi Hakubi.
Barring title defenses, things have not been as successful for The Third, coming up short in tag team competition and falling short in the First round of the Fists of Iron Tournament against the reigning King, Rurouni Mutoh. With the exception of Rebecca Diago, the Fire Pro Champion remains the one member of El Orgullo missing from the card of Night Two of the tournament in Brooklyn. Not one to be left out, confident that he and his comrades will leave draped in gold, and with that special time of the year just around the corner, the champion is taking initiative.
And so, at National E-Wrestling Day Seven, Hijo Jaguar III is issuing an open challenge. Not only for those in the Terrordome, but throughout the Armbar Error Society. Two souls will step into the TCW* ring for the Fire Pro Championship. Who will answer the call? Will The Third’s pride lead to his downfall?
