I hate having negative videos but have to call out what I'm seeing. The TV has even more issues than I covered here which will be discussed in the review. Honestly I felt the 5 Series performed well for its placement compared to its competitors. This 6 Series is brighter and better image quality, but not as much as I expected.

The R646 can be pretty good for gaming, but have to give up the "check box items" that TCL included, but implemented poorly. MediaTek HDMI chipset is crippling not just this TV but others as well. Don't expect any TV with the MediaTek HDMI chipset to have working VRR.

Dolby Vision needs work as well, but again is an issue on other TVs as well.
