Martha Argerich plays Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1. After composing the piece, Tchaikovsky presented it to Nikolai Rubinstein. The famous Russian pianist called it, “clumsy” and “unplayable." Tchaikovsky was deeply hurt but he refused to make any changes. Now, it's one of the most famous piano concertos of all time. Performed here in 2014 by the Verbier Festival Orchestra, conducted by Charles Dutoit, along side the "Grande Dame" herself, Martha Argerich. Catchy, isn't it?
